Covid-19 and unoccupied properties

Covid-19 and unoccupied properties

Given the current situation, we appreciate that you may have had to temporarily leave your premises unoccupied due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

We usually ask that you notify us if the premises are going to be unoccupied for more than 30 consecutive days for our residential schemes. We are now extending this period to 60 days, so you only need to let us know at the end of the 60 day period if the premises will still be unoccupied.

We are also extending the unoccupancy conditions for our overseas schemes from 21 days, to 60 days.

If your premises was already unoccupied before the Covid-19 outbreak, and you are unable to meet the terms of our unoccupied conditions due to the current restrictions, please get in touch with your usual representative

We will review the position again prior to 1/7/20 and will extend for a further period if we deem appropriate.

Please be  assured that the primary reason for continuing is the ongoing relationship with you personally and the exceptional assistance you give when required.

Once again you guys have blown me away ! Brilliant. No other word for it. I love that there are insurance companies out there willing to change the dreadful culture we have nowadays of only rewarding new business and penalising loyalty.
